U.S. Marine Corps
Timothy Colomer joined the Marine Corps in 1993. His initial job in the Marines was assembling bombs, rockets, and missiles for attack aircraft. In 2000, he went to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) School. Explosive Ordnance Disposal is the military’s bomb squad and has often been called the most dangerous job in the world. While attending training, Tim met his beautiful wife, Samantha. Timothy and Samantha were married 3 years later. Samantha finished nursing school in 2012 and was Magna Cum Laude in 2017 when she finished her BS in Nursing. In 2006, Timothy got blown up during a deployment to Iraq. He left the Marine Corps in 2007. Since leaving the Marine Corps, Timothy has finished his Master’s Degree from The George Washington University. Timothy is an advocate and mentor for wounded Veterans as an ambassador for the EOD Warrior Foundation. In 2016, Timothy was awarded The Excelsior College Alumni Achievement Award by the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dunford, Jr.
In his off time, Tim spends time with his family, loves playing golf, and smoking some Texas BBQ. He also volunteers his time to mentor Veterans during their transition out of the military.
David Gravley is a recently retired Master Gunnery Sergeant with over twenty one years active service in the United States Marine Corps. He has deployed five times to Iraq and Afghanistan as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician. David is a combat wounded veteran with several awards for Valor.
David is originally from Grapevine, TX and has recently relocated to the Houston area with his wife of twenty years Nancy. They have one child Meghan Krause and one grand-daughter Adilynn who live in Florida.
David and Tim Colomer have known each other for over seventeen years. They deployed to Fallujah, Iraq together as Marine EOD techs in 2006. Together they desire to give back to the veteran community as well as provide a valuable service to the Houston community, and view JDOG as an exciting opportunity to accomplish both of these goals.
