U.S. Marine Corps
Dave Gravley is a proud native Texan, having been born in Fort Worth and raised in Grapevine. Dave served nearly 22 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. During his time in the Marine Corps, he deployed six times to Iraq and Afghanistan earning numerous awards for Valor. During his deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, he was tasked with the dangerous job of rendering safe enemy improvised explosive devices (IED’s) also known as homemade or roadside bombs. He also was one of the first responders on the ground to assist victims of the Christmas Tsunami that struck the Indian Ocean in 2004 claiming over 200,000 lives. Dave is a Purple Heart Recipient having been wounded in 2008. Dave retired from active duty in June of 2017 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9) and was considered one of the most experienced Marines in his field, having rendered safe hundreds of IED’s. After military retirement, he was looking for opportunities to give back to the veteran community and was contacted by his fellow Marine Corps friend of over 17 years (Tim Colomer) about JDog Junk Removal & Hauling. The uniqueness of continuing to serve his community while simultaneously empowering veterans through meaningful employment was the perfect fit and thus in June 2017 – JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Houston was born.
Dave’s experience and exposure leading Marines in the crucible of combat serve him well in his role as Operations Manager at JDog Houston. In his current position, Dave applies the same leadership principles of Respect, Integrity, and Trust that enabled great success while serving in the United States Marine Corps.
Dave has been married to Nancy Davis for over twenty-five years and together they have a daughter and grand-daughter. Dave and Nancy live in Spring, TX and enjoy spending time with family, travel, fishing, live music and look forward to seeing our great country by RV in the near future.
