Why Patriotism Drives Everything We Do at JDog Junk Removal
Proudly veteran-owned and operated, JDog is more than just a junk removal company, we’re a movement built on service, community, and American pride.
Our Definition of Patriotism
To us, patriotism isn’t about one day on the calendar. It’s about how you live, work, and serve others every day. As a veteran-owned business, we believe patriotism means honoring your country by supporting your community, creating opportunities for others, and upholding core values in everything you do.
- Supporting fellow Veterans and Military families
- Serving communities with discipline and respect
- Providing trustworthy, American-made service
- Giving back through local initiatives and cleanups
Our Core Values: Respect, Integrity, Trust
Respect for your home, your time, and your property
- Integrity – we do what we say we’ll do, the right way
- Trust built through service, not just marketing
These values are not just buzzwords, they’re learned in uniform and lived out in every job we do.
How We Show Patriotism in Action
Service Beyond the Jobsite
- Veteran hiring: 80% of team members who are Veterans or military family
- Flag protocols: e.g., folding found flags properly, not throwing away military items
- Community cleanups and donation drives
- Participation in Memorial Day, Veterans Day, 9/11 Remembrance events
Meet Our Founder: Jerry Flanagan
Army Veteran | CEO & Co-Founder, JDog Brands
JDog’s patriotic mission starts with Jerry Flanagan, a U.S. Army Veteran who built JDog from a two-person operation into a national, Veteran-led movement. After serving from 1987 to 1989 and again in the National Guard, Jerry brought military values like Respect, Integrity, and Trust into the civilian world — founding JDog Junk Removal & Hauling to give Veterans meaningful career paths through business ownership.
Today, 90% of JDog franchises are Veteran-owned, creating over 1,000 jobs across the country. Jerry also leads the JDog Foundation, focused on Veteran causes like PTSD support and suicide prevention, and teaches entrepreneurship to service members transitioning back to civilian life.
“Patriotism means continuing to serve in business, in our communities, and in how we treat one another.”
– Jerry Flanagan
