Scott J. Jordan was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. As a child, his family often asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, and his answer was G.I. Joe. While attending East Boston High School, he was in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Core, a program for students who were interested in a military career. Scott was in civics class during his junior year of high school when he heard of the attack on the World Trade Center. It was at this point when he decided to enlist in the United States Army Reserves. 72 hours after he completed basic training, he received a phone call saying “Don’t unpack your gear, you’re deploying to Iraq.” Scott was 18 years old.
Scott was a part of one of the longest deployed reserve units since World War II, the 94th Military Police Company, out of Londonderry, New Hampshire. His first deployment was a total of 19 months. He arrived in Iraq on Easter Sunday in 2003, and was assigned as a driver/gunner of a Military Police gun truck. He deployed again with the 94th in 2010, this time as husband, a Staff Sergeant, and Squad Leader. After his second tour, Scott decided to become a full-time Soldier and was assigned as a Training Manager to the 102nd Military Police Company in Wisconsin in 2011. In 2014 Scott was promoted to the senior enlisted rank of Sergeant First Class and re-assigned to the 305th Military Police Company in West Virginia.
In 2017 Scott decided it was time to end his military service, and he moved to San Diego, California.
As a civilian, Scott has experience working as a Federal Police Officer, in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, installing flooring, and security. In his spare time, Scott enjoys golfing, boating, hunting, fishing, and being surrounded by friends and family.
