Originally from Edinboro, Pennyslvania, Carol relocated to Madison in 2007 where she now resides with her significant other, Paul and their daughter Izzy.
Following high school, while serving in the Army Reserves, Carol attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she earned a B.S. in Communications Media before heading to Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania where she earned an M.S. in Sport Management.
Growing up Carol enjoyed hearing stories about her father’s Marine Corp days and grandfather’s service during WWII as an Army Officer so joining the Army Reserves upon graduating from high school was a natural path to follow. Carol served in the Army Reserves for six years before being honorably discharged and accepting a job with the U.S. Navy as a civilian employee managing multiple athletic and aquatic facilities overseas at the Yokosuka Naval Base. In 2009 Carol re-joined the service as an Officer Candidate with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. She is still serving as a Captain with the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Running a junk removal business is not something Carol ever imagined herself doing, but after meeting a franchise owner through the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce Carol started exploring the opportunity. After serving five years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard as an Officer Recruiter, Carol was struggling to find her next job when she found JDog and immediately felt at home with fellow military veterans and service members. The mission of JDog to improve the environment through recycling, reusing and repurposing the junk while employing veterans is something Carol takes pride in.
When Carol’s not working for the National Guard or JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, you will find her spending time with her family, swimming with the masters’ swim team, boating on the Madison lakes, rescuing animals or even roller skating around town with former Mad Rollin’ Dolls team mates
